Julia Kerekes, NP
Julia Kerekes, NP is a Family Nurse Practitioner that will be bringing a wealth of knowledge from her experience in family practice and endocrinology. Mrs. Kerekes is committed to making a difference in patients’ lives through her compassionate and patient-centered care as well as empowering and advocating for women to live healthy and fulfilling lives.
She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is fluent in three languages; Romanian, Hungarian, and English.
Julia was born in Romania where she resided through her teenage years until she relocated with her family and immigrated to the US in 2003. In 2013, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University in Michigan and soon after, she and her husband relocated to Arizona where she began her nursing career. In Arizona, Julia worked as a Registered Nurse in both a cardiac unit and a trauma level 1 emergency department for over four years. Passionate about health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education, she attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix in preparation to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. In July 2018, she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing and was awarded the certification of FNP-C. Mrs. Kerekes brings her endocrinology and family practice experience to Women’s Medical Care in Prescott and is excited to embark on this new journey with her husband.
In her spare time, Julia is an avid endurance runner with a passion for weight-lifting and healthy lifestyle choices. When she’s not working, she finds herself in nature picnicking, camping, and when indoors, baking.
